The Holsapples, a prominent Winston Salem family, lived in Connecticut before moving to Winston Salem.  He was a trust attorney at Wachovia and served the P.H. Hanes family. They were active in the civic life of this community. Her parents were stationed in China in the ‘30s.  She inherited their beautiful Chinese furniture, carpets, ceramics and silks from that period.
