The House on the Hill Tag Sale

They lived in this house for 56 years raising six children. They’ve moved to a much smaller home at Salemtowne but have left behind many treasures. Before retirement he practiced medicine and she was a prolific baker creating wedding cakes for many of her friends. Over the years they collected work by local potters, have been avid supporters of Wake Forest, gardened extensively and threw amazing celebrations – for holidays, birthdays and other occasions.
At this sale there are three refrigerators, a wrought iron porch set, porch swing, a sleeper sofa, 5 chests of drawers, 4 folding tables, 8 sleds, lamps, bookcases and shelving, lots of holiday decorations, elegant and practical party ware & serving dishes, table linens, baking supplies, cooking tools, cookbooks, a large collection of Wake Forest memorabilia, yearbooks back to 1934, dolls, jewelry, scarves and purses, garden art and tools, collectable pottery, many, many picture frames, organizing supplies and a free upright piano.
There are items for sale on three levels of the house and yard at this sale. And a reminder, Runnymede Road is a beautiful boulevard with a park down the middle. Traffic is one way on each side of the park and parking is only permitted on one side of the street.
